Experience Summary

I am a second-generation real estate appraiser with 40 years of experience in the field of residential real estate appraisal. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. I am a SRA designated member of the Appraisal Institute and hold an Accredited Green Appraiser designation for specialized green and photovoltaic valuation training. I am the past Vice President and Training/Education Coordinator for the Real Estate Appraiser's Association, Sacramento Chapter. I have been certified as a Collateral Valuation Specialist by Appraisal World, Inc. I always exceed continuing education requirements as set forth by the Bureau of Real Estate Appraisers as evidenced by the list of course completions below.

Employment History

South Placer Appraisal Services – Owner/Appraiser, June 2004- Present

I currently own South Placer Appraisal Services located in Roseville. I complete appraisal assignments and post-funding reviews for residential properties. The majority of my assignments are completed for major lending institutions in compliance with secondary market requirements, (Fannie/Freddie guidelines), or VA/FHA guidelines, as applicable. A minority, but significant, portion of my business is for Date of Death, (Retrospective), valuations as well as appraisals for Dissolution of Marriage.

Bank of America – Vice President/Operations, May 1989-May 2004

I managed the National Appraisal Assignment Center, (NAAC), a division of Bank of America's Residential Appraisal Department in Pleasant Hill, CA. As a unit, we recruited independent fee appraisers and Appraisal Management Companies and maintained our own fee panel. We engaged these vendors in all 50 states where staff coverage was unavailable. Upon completion of the reports, administrative staff completed compliance reviews and licensed appraisers completed Standard 3 reviews. Finally, we provided guidance and support to our internal bank clients, including being the intermediary for underwriting conditions.

I also worked within several other Residential Appraisal Department units in my 15-year employment with Bank of America, including their Arizona Appraisal District, Texas Appraisal Region, and the Sacramento Appraisal District.

Researched properties for appraisers using microfiche, typed appraisal reports, taped photos, labeled maps, and delivered reports to clients.
